Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) was incorporated under the Indian Companies Act, 1956 with the objective to plan, promote and organize an integrated and efficient development of iron and steel and associated input industries.
"The Public Sector Iron and Steel Companies (Restructuring and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1978" was enacted with the aim to bring all the public sector integrated plants under the overall control of an integrated company i.e. SAIL which is to function as an integral steel complex. SAIL is a Schedule 'A' / Maharatna PSE in Steel sector with the administrative jurisdiction of Ministry of Steel.

Qualification for SAIL Recruitment 2024
The applicant should be an engineering graduate with good academic record from a recognized University/ Institution. Applicants with MBA/ PGDM will have an added advantage. The applicant should possess adequate technical and operational experience at a senior level of management in a large organization of repute, out of which at least five years during the last ten years should have been in Steel Sector.

- Total timeline for receipt of applications in PESB is 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in leading National Dailies.
- Last date for submission of applications by the applicants is by 03:00 PM on 23.11.2024. Last date for nodal officers to forward applications to PESB is by 03:00 PM on 02.12.2024 .
- No application shall be entertained under any circumstances after the stipulated date. Incomplete applications and applications received after the stipulated date shall be REJECTED.
