POWERGRID is looking for bright and energetic Graduates & Diploma Holders to join its fold as Diploma Trainee (Electrical) - DTE, Diploma Trainee (Civil) - DTC, Junior Officer Trainee (HR) - JOT (HR), Junior Officer Trainee (F&A) - JOT (F&A) and Assistant Trainee (F&A) - Asst. Qualification for POWERGRID Recruitment 2024
DTE: Requires a full-time, three-year diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Electrical Power, Power Systems Engineering) from a recognized board or institute. Minimum of 70% marks is required for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates; pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD. Higher qualifications like B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME are not accepted.
DTC: Requires a full-time, three-year diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized technical board/institute. Minimum of 70% marks is needed for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates; pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD. Higher qualifications such as B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME are not accepted.
JOT (HR): Requires a full-time three-year graduate degree in BBA, BBM, BBS, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute/university with at least 60% marks for General/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates. Higher qualifications such as postgraduate degrees or diplomas are not permitted.
JOT (F&A): Requires an Inter CA or Inter CMA qualification. Higher qualifications like a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma, CA, or CMA are not accepted.
Asst. Tr. (F&A): Requires a B.Com. degree with a minimum of 60% marks for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD. The qualification must be from a recognized Indian university or institution. Higher qualifications such as postgraduate degrees or diplomas are not accepted.
Pay Scale for POWERGRID Recruitment 2024
For DTE/DTC/JOT (HR)/JOT (F&A):
Selected candidates will start at the S0 level, receiving a pay scale of Rs. 24,000-3%-108,000 (IDA) with a basic pay of Rs. 24,000, along with IDA, HRA, and perks at 12% of basic pay per month during the training period. Upon completing training successfully, they will be promoted to Junior Engineer Gr-IV/Junior Officer Gr-IV at the S1 level with a pay scale of Rs. 25,000-3%-117,500 (IDA), resulting in an annual CTC of approximately Rs. 11.9 lakhs.
For Asst. Tr. (F&A):
Selected candidates will begin at the W3 level with a pay scale of Rs. 21,500-3%-74,000 (IDA) and a basic pay of Rs. 21,500, in addition to IDA, HRA, and perks at 12% of basic pay per month during training. After successfully completing the training, they will be absorbed as Assistant (F&A) at the W4 level with a pay scale of Rs. 22,000-3%-85,000 (IDA), amounting to an annual CTC of approximately Rs. 10.3 lakhs.
Age Limit for POWERGRID Recruitment 2024
- Upper Age Limit: 27 years as of 12.11.2024.
- Reservation/Relaxation: Applicable for OBC (NCL), EWS, SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-SM, and Riot Victims as per Government of India guidelines.
- Marks Relaxation: Qualifying marks for essential qualifications are reduced to pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM candidates when posts are reserved for these categories.
Application Fee for POWERGRID Recruitment 2024
SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM candidates are exempt from paying the application fee. Other candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee via the online payment gateway during the application period:

Selection Procedure for POWERGRID Recruitment 2024
The selection process will include a Written Test/Computer Based Test (CBT) for eligible candidates, a Computer Skill Test (CST) (if applicable), and a Pre-Employment Medical Examination. The CST, where applicable, will be qualifying in nature, with a minimum qualifying score of 50% for Unreserved/EWS candidates and 40% for reserved category candidates, depending on the post’s reservation status in the respective region.
